Victory over Satan through removing his legal right in us. (John 14:3)
First, an important message regarding the future of the USA. (September 2012)
The following are outline studies I never completed, but hope to some day.
If you want to read the warfare notes, click Genesis to Judges I'll be adding more as I have time.
August 9, 2004 Well, Grace is ready for more notes: 1 Samuel 1-2 This installment was made with more concentration, not rambling while Grace typed. The result is typical of everything I attempt to write--too much detail. At this rate, by the time I get to Revelation, Grace will be teaching them to her great-grandchildren. But what could I have left out? They become my own personal devotions and I end up weeping as I write. I hope you also will glean something to refresh your walk and lead you to a deeper trust and rest in Him.
Aug 17 1 Samuel 2-3 relates the tragic failure of Eli as priest and father, and how it applies to those who ignore God's warnings. In the process God songs for someone after His own heart, looking forward to David and a whole new idea for the priesthood, reflecting His ultimate purpose for all of us.
Aug 26 In 1 Samuel 4-6 we see what happens when we use the means God gives us as the end, instead of God Himself and obedience to Him. It's a variation of sacrifice in place of obedience, to be seen more clearly in King Saul (ch. 15). Another interesting phenomenon is the reaction of the Philistine "priests and diviners" to the presence of the Ark in their midst and the judgments it brought. They were more responsive, with true spiritual insight, than Eli, God's true priest!
Sept 11 1 Samuel 7-8 What does the request of the people for a king have to do with spiritual warfare and our lives today? Are we making the same mistake?
